Standing Lawyers adopts Claude as its enterprise legal AI

Standing Lawyers has adopted Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, as the practice's enterprise AI for legal work.

Claude supports research, first drafts and the organisation of large document sets, so that advocates spend more of their time on judgment and advice. It is used under the rules in the firm's Data Protection and Information Security Policy: client confidential information is entered only into tools engaged on terms that forbid training on it, every output is reviewed by a lawyer before it is relied on or reaches a client, and a client who asks that no AI tool be used on their matter has that instruction followed.

Responsibility for advice stays with the advocate. A tool assists the work and does not replace the lawyer.
